Spring is finally here in Maryland and last week brought the first clutch of Ball Python eggs. This is one of my favorite times of the year because every day we go through the racks and get a little present – CLUTCHES OF EGGS!!
Boa Photo Shoot
This is the scene when we photograph snakes. It’s not as simple as it could be, but what can I say? We shot a few 2009 and 2010 boas to add the site, they should be up shortly.
Lights, Camera, ACTION!
LOTS of 2010 Ball Pythons added to site.
We added a bunch of 2010 Ball Python morphs to the web site this morning. Lots of morphs you rarely see for sale, at that! These animals are well started and ready to be shipped.
We need your help!
Jake West worked here at Peter Kahl Reptiles since August of 2010. We have reason to believe Jake has been selling some of our snakes without our knowledge. If you have bought anything from Jake West since August of 2010, please contact us immediately. We are offering a reward to everyone that can confirm what they purchased from him.
Thank you in advance,
Peter Kahl
FINALLY
A little over a week ago I photographed over 300 2010 ball pythons. It took until yesterday to get 2/3 of them added to the inventory on the web site and then this morning to activate 85 of them.
Today I will be wrapping up the remaining 1/3 and by the middle of next week should have a couple hundred activated. Enjoy!

Photographing 2010 Ball Pythons
We are photographing 2010 ball pythons today to put on our web site’s available page!
Snow
Well our weather experts really tanked on the last forecast. 24 hours before the storm hit, we were being told accumulations of around an inch for the two storms. When I woke up the next morning, I was planning on business as usual until I saw 4 inches on the ground. This wasn’t so bad; I figured an hour to get all the snow cleared.
As I was drinking my coffee, I decided to get another weather update and saw they changed the evening’s prediction of a 1/2 inch to 5-12 inches!!! That’s what we got, another 10 inches with high winds that created some sizable drifts.
As I type this, it’s snowing again. They are predicting another 1 inch, they better be right!
Needless to say, my hour of snow removal turned into a day and a half. My driveway is littered with limbs that snapped off all the pine and cedar trees. Good times.
